New Service Offerings with Oracle Clinical™ 4.5

Milford, CT – April 18th, 2005 – Clients Associated Businesses, Inc., a provider of Data Management Services using Oracle Clinical Systems, will upgrade it’s BioCAB OC systems from Oracle Clinical version 4.0.3 to version 4.5 and expects to complete the installation, validation and testing of 4.5 by June 1, 2005.

This upgrade will allow us to provide our BioCAB clients with the following:

  • Enhanced Auditing Capabilities:  Ability to record all changes initiated by a user, the values before the change, who made the change, and when the change was made, and associates these changes with the original data.
  • Tracking batch jobs by study or parameter set:  Permits querying and viewing of jobs that were submitted for a particular study or using a particular parameter set.
  • Oracle Clinical Graphic Layout System:  Allows for the production of PDF versions of Case Report Forms, Patient Data Report forms, and RDC data entry screens directly from existing or new Oracle Clinical data definitions.
  • RDC PDF Data Entry: Data entry in RDC Option Release 4.5 is based on Adobe Acrobat PDFs generated directly from Oracle Clinical's data definitions.
    • Conducting PDF Data Entry: RDC will read and write to PDFs generated directly from Oracle Clinical's data definitions. The new data entry environment appears to the user as an electronic piece of paper. Functionally, all the advantages of real time data collection are available.
    • Investigator comments: Investigators will enter, review, and navigate to comments for all data points within a given DCI Form.
    • Investigator approvals: PDF data entry provides electronic approval of the CRF pages by investigators.
    • Audit Information: The Patient Data Report (PDR) allows investigators to maintain paper copies of all of their data. The PDR originates from the same PDF files as the RDC PDF. Site personnel will have hardcopy access to the audit, discrepancy, and investigator comment information.
  • RDC Patient Data Report (PDR):  Allows investigative sites to maintain paper copies of all of their data.
